Blythe's Background
Prior to college, Blythe successfully founded an alternative asset investment fund, "Burns Holdings" initially using his own capital. During the fund's operation, Blythe was able to see untapped potential in the Texas/Oklahoma cattle markets and was able to successfully arbitrage those markets. Over the fund's three year investment period, the fund provided significant returns for investors and funded Blythe's entire undergraduate college career.
Today, Blythe holds a Master of Science in Finance from Texas Tech University. In school Blythe was an officer in the Business Valuation Club, an member of the Real Estate Organization and the Financial Management Association. Blythe was also a member of Student Managed Investment Fund "SMIF". The SMIF group is a small group of top performing finance students charged with evaluating investments on behalf of Texas Tech's $1.15B endowment fund.
In 2018 Blythe joined The Burns Firm after a successful analyst career in their Mergers & Acquisitions Advisory firm and cofounded The Burns Firm Capital, which acquires operating companies in and around Texas. As a partner in TBF Capital, Blythe successfully led the acquisition and turnaround of 2 industrial manufacturing companies in Texas driving over 10X organic EBITDA growth in the last 4 years.
Currently, Blythe lives in Dallas and enjoys giving back to the next generation of leaders by offering mentorship to emerging students. Blythe also enjoys philanthropy supporting the Dallas SPCA, The Dallas Museum of Art, The Salvation Army of North Texas, Genesis Women's Shelter among other charitable efforts.
